Normally, we’d be telling you about the deadline to book your room at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry to lock in the convention rate. However, as of today, no rooms remain available from Wednesday, July 29 through Sunday, August 2.
As cancellations are possible, you may be able to secure a room at the “Last Chance Rate” reserved for PulpFest 2026 attendees. However, to receive the special convention rate of $149 plus tax per night, you must book your room by 11:59 pm on July 7.
You can try placing your reservation directly through the PulpFest website. You’ll find a button on our website that reads “Book a Room.” Click it, and you’ll be redirected to a secure site where you can reserve your room at the DoubleTree at the convention rate. If the special rate doesn’t show, the convention’s block is full.
You can also try reserving a room by calling 1-724-776-6900 or 855-610-8733. To receive the “Last Chance Rate,” you must mention that you are a PulpFest attendee or use the code CDT90C.
If you use Hilton points to book your stay, the complimentary breakfasts are not included with your reservation.
The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free parking to all guests. Included in the convention room rate are complimentary hot breakfasts each day of your stay. The DoubleTree also offers a 24-hour fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a sauna.
Conveniently located at the intersection of three major roadways, the DoubleTree boasts a fine restaurant in an open-air setting. There are many other restaurants nearby — some within walking distance — suitable for a variety of tastes. The more adventurous can discover plenty of dining, shopping, and nightlife just a short drive away in downtown Pittsburgh.
By staying at our host hotel, you help the convention control its expenses. It also helps our hotel’s bottom line.
We’re very happy the DoubleTree Cranberry will be hosting this summer’s destination for pop culture fans and collectors. It’s loved by PulpFest staff and our members.
Although cancelations are possible between today and July 7, you may have to look elsewhere for lodging. The DoubleTree recommends the Hampton Inn, Hilton Garden Inn, or Home2 Suites. They’re all just a few miles away from our host hotel. Click here to learn more.
If you’re looking for a roommate, contact Jack Cullers at jack@pulpfest.com. He may be able to help.
We look forward to seeing you July 30 to August 2 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Mars, Pennsylvania. PulpFest will be celebrating the centenial of both Amazing Stories and Ghost Stories at our convention. Please click the 2026 schedule button on our website to learn about all of our programming.
And don’t forget about the other terrific conventions that will be held in conjunction with this year’s PulpFest — Doc Con 2026, FarmerCon XXI, and The Shadow Con 2026. That’s four conventions for the price of one! You can join all four conventions by clicking the register button on our website. The deadline for advance registrations is Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 9 p.m. eastern time. So what are you waiting for?
Frank R. Paul, the “grandfather of science-fiction art,” painted the cover for the program book of the 13th World Science Fiction Convention — Clevention — held on September 2 – 5, 1955 at the Manger Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The paperbound convention book was the first ever to feature a color cover.
Although the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry is not quite as futuristic as Paul’s illustration, our host hotel was completely renovated in 2016. If you have any problems placing your reservation, please contact PulpFest chairman Jack Cullers at jack@pulpfest.com.
