PulpFest

November’s Convention Scene

With the next PulpFest in 10 months, what’s a pop culture fan to do? How about attending another convention?

Pulp Adventurecon is coming up in a month, on Saturday, November 1. The one-day event will be at the Sheraton Bucks County Langhorne, 400 Oxford Valley Road in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The convention will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10.

You’ll find paper collectibles dealers such as Adventure House, Books from the Crypt, Michael Brenner Books, and others exhibiting at this year’s Pulp Adventurecon. And writers such as Brian DuBois, John French, and Craig McDonald, creator of the fantastic adventures of Zana O’Savin. All these and a whole lot more will be at the Fall 2025 Pulp Adventurecon.

Rich Harvey — winner of the 2021 Munsey Award — and Audrey Parente — the publishers of Bold Venture Press — have put together Pulp AdventureCon for over 20 years. The one-day convention hosts collectors, artists, authors, and vendors of rare pulp magazines, vintage paperbacks and comic books, movie memorabilia, and related paper collectibles. The show emphasizes collectibles from 1900 to 1970, the years encompassing a significant portion of the “pulp era.” However, you’ll find collectibles from before and after that time at the con.

You’ll have a blast at Pulp Adventurecon. It’s a fun show!

Later in the month, the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society will welcome fans to the 88th anniversary of the world’s first and longest-running conference on science fiction, fantasy, and horror! Philcon 2025 will take place on November 21 – 23 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cherry Hill, NJ. To learn more, visit the Philcon website at philcon.org/. And be sure to look for the PulpFest ad in their program book.

Hopefully, events like the Fall 2025 Pulp Adventurecon and Philcon 2025 just might keep you satisfied until the next PulpFest. So stay informed.
