Win an ERB Books Limited Edition Collection at PulpFest 50

In celebration of the imminent release of the seventh title in The ERB Limited Edition Collection, PulpFest 50 will be raffling off two volumes from the series.

At the Earth’s Core – The Letterpress Edition will be published in a limited edition of 52 lettered & 648 numbered sets. They will be signed by Phil Burger (author of the Preface), William Stout (author of the Artist’s Preface), and featured artists. The book will be letterpress printed on premium paper from metal plates like the 1922 A. C. McClurg first edition. It will ship in a clamshell box and be handcrafted in blue leather, with Smyth-sewn binding. The book will have color-illustrated endpapers by Sanjulian and a new dust jacket by Bob Eggleton.

At the Earth’s Core – The Letterpress Edition will include over 24 tipped-in color plates featuring artwork by Frazetta, St. John, Krenkel, Chase, Crandall, Yeates, J. C. Burroughs, Sanjulian, Stout, Yeates, Jusko, Grindberg, Jones, and many more. It will also feature black-and-white plates from Frank Frazetta’s At the Earth’s Core and Pellucidar portfolios. There will be more than 100 black-and-white illustrations throughout the text.

Each set of At the Earth’s Core – The Letterpress Edition will include an authentic metal printing plate designed for the publication of this edition, replica letters, notebook pages, artwork, pulp excerpts, the 1st newspaper serialization, advertising standee, and the A. C. McClurg advertising postcard & book contract.

Both of the sets are limited editions and retail for $249.99 and $199.99 respectively.

You’ll be able to purchase two chances to win one of these great sets at the PulpFest 50 registration desk. Each ticket will cost $5 and give you a chance to win either Tarzan of the Apes – The Artist Edition or A Princess of Mars – The Manuscript EditionThe drawings will take place at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday nights during our evening programming. You need not be present at the drawing to win.

Following our raffle on Saturday evening, August 6, we’ll be offering a consolation prize: a copy of the standard first edition of Robert B. Zeuchner’s Edgar Rice Burroughs: The BibliographyA finalist for the 2018 National Indie Excellence Award, Dr. Zeuschner book features over 600 images — with more than 500 in color — and is “the definitive account of everything published by Edgar Rice Burroughs.” Limited to 900 copies, the book retails for $100, plus shipping.
