Arnold Hano’s novel “Slade” was originally published by Lion in 1956, while “Manhunter” followed from Signet one year later. According to Cullen Gallagher’s PULP SERENADE, “Hano doesn’t handle his characters with kid gloves — he puts them through hell, over and over again. . . . These great books embody why Hano deserves the title ‘Master of the Western Noir.’” Thanks to Stark House Press, pulp fans can now enjoy both novels in a brand new edition.
