Normally, we’d be telling you about the deadline to book your room at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry to lock in the convention rate. But as we write this, the hotel is almost completely full. Two rooms are now available, and more may open up due to last-minute cancellations.
If you’d like to try to land one of the few remaining rooms, you can place your reservation directly through the PulpFest website. At the top of our page, you’ll find a button that reads “Book a Room.” Click it and you’ll be redirected to a secure site where you can book a room at the DoubleTree at the convention rate.
You can also reserve a room by calling 1-724-776-6900 or 855-610-8733. To receive the special convention rate of $136 plus tax per night, you must mention that you are a PulpFest attendee or use the code CDT91R.
Included in your room rate is a complimentary hot breakfast, free WiFi, and free parking. However, to receive the special convention rate of $136 plus tax per night, you must book your room by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, July 15.
Conveniently located at the intersection of three major roadways, the DoubleTree boasts a fine restaurant in an open-air setting. There are many other restaurants nearby — some within walking distance — suitable for a variety of tastes. The more adventurous can discover plenty of dining, shopping, and nightlife just a short drive away in downtown Pittsburgh. The DoubleTree also offers a 24-hour fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a sauna.
Please note that a deposit equaling the first night’s room rate plus tax will be required at the time of reservation. You will have until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on July 7, 2025 — one month before the start of PulpFest 2025 — to cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of your deposit. Any cancellation made after the deadline will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
We’re very happy the DoubleTree Cranberry will be hosting this summer’s destination for pop culture fans and collectors. Per our members, the DoubleTree is a terrific venue for our convention.

Frank R. Paul, the “grandfather of science-fiction art,” painted the cover for the program book of the 13th World Science Fiction Convention — Clevention — held on September 2 – 5, 1955 at the Manger Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The paperbound convention book was the first ever to feature a color cover.
Although the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry is not quite as futuristic as Paul’s illustration, our host hotel was completely renovated in 2016.
