As we write this, most of the rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry have been booked. There seem to be a few available on various nights. However, to receive the special convention rate of $136 plus tax per night, you must book your room by 11:59 pm on Sunday, July 10.
You can place your reservation directly through the PulpFest website. At the top of our page, you’ll find a button that reads “Book a Room.” Click it and you’ll be redirected to a secure site where you can book a room at the DoubleTree at the convention rate.
You can also reserve a room by calling 1-724-776-6900. To receive the special convention rate of $136 plus tax per night, you must mention that you are a PulpFest attendee or use the code CDT91J.
Conveniently located at the intersection of three major roadways, the DoubleTree boasts a fine restaurant in an open-air setting. There are many other restaurants nearby — some within walking distance — suitable for a variety of tastes. The more adventurous can discover plenty of dining, shopping, and nightlife just a short drive away in downtown Pittsburgh. The DoubleTree also offers a 24-hour fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a sauna.
By staying at our host hotel, you help the convention control its expenses. It also helps our hotel’s bottom line.
We’re very happy the DoubleTree Cranberry will be hosting this summer’s destination for pop culture fans and collectors. Per our members, the DoubleTree is a terrific venue for our convention.
Although there may be cancelations between today and 11:59 pm on Sunday, July 10 — the convention rate deadline — you may have to look elsewhere for lodging. Frank R. Paul, the “grandfather of science-fiction art,” painted the cover for the program book of the 13th World Science Fiction Convention — Clevention — held on September 2 – 5, 1955 at the Manger Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The paperbound convention book was the first ever to feature a color cover.
