A block of rooms has been reserved for PulpFest 2023 attendees at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry. However, to receive the special convention rate of $129 plus tax per night, you must book your room by 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 16.
There are less than a handful of rooms remaining in our block. If you have not yet reserved your DoubleTree room, please do so as soon as possible. Once these rooms are booked, there will be no more.
You can place your reservation directly through the PulpFest website. At the top of our page, you’ll find a button that reads “Book a Room.” Click it and you’ll be redirected to a secure site where you can book a room at the DoubleTree at the convention rate.
You can also reserve a room by calling 1-800-222-8733 or 724-776-6900. Be sure to mention PulpFest in order to receive the special convention rate. Included in the room rate are free Wi-Fi privileges in each sleeping room and the hotel’s lobby, plus two complimentary breakfasts per room for each day of your stay. There is ample free parking surrounding the hotel.
Please note that a deposit equaling the first night’s room rate plus tax will be required at the time of reservation.
Conveniently located at the intersection of three major roadways, the DoubleTree boasts a fine restaurant in an open-air setting. There are many other restaurants nearby — some within walking distance — suitable for a variety of tastes. The more adventurous can discover plenty of dining, shopping, and nightlife just a short drive away in downtown Pittsburgh. The DoubleTree also offers a 24-hour fitness center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a sauna.
By staying at our host hotel, you help the convention control its expenses. It also helps our hotel’s bottom line. To thank you for making PulpFest look good, you’ll receive free early-bird shopping on Thursday, August 3, in the PulpFest dealers’ room. That’s a savings of $40 by staying at the DoubleTree!
We’re very happy the DoubleTree Cranberry will be hosting this summer’s destination for pop culture fans and collectors. Per our members, the DoubleTree is a terrific venue for our convention.
Although there may be cancelations between today and 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 16 — the convention rate deadline — you may have to look elsewhere for lodging. Frank R. Paul, the “grandfather of science-fiction art,” painted the cover for the program book of the 13th World Science Fiction Convention — Clevention — held on September 2 – 5, 1955 at the Manger Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. The paperbound convention book was the first ever to feature a color cover.
