With the next PulpFest in 10 months, what’s a pop culture fan to do? How about attending another convention?
Pulp Adventurecon is coming up in just a couple of weeks on Saturday, November 5. The one-day event will be held at the Home2 Suites, just 2.7 miles from New Jersey Turnpike Exit 7. The convention will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5.
Pulp AdventureCon hosts collectors, artists, authors, and vendors of rare pulp magazines, vintage paperbacks and comic books, movie memorabilia, and related paper collectibles. The show emphasizes collectibles from 1900 to 1970, the years encompassing a significant portion of the “pulp era.” However, you will find collectibles from before and after that time period.
The winner of PulpFest‘s 2021 Munsey Award, Rich Harvey, and Audrey Parente — the publishers of Bold Venture Press — have put together Pulp AdventureCon for over 20 years. They also host a southern edition of the convention in Florida each spring. Be sure to check their website for updates regarding the Florida Pulp Adventurecon.

PulpFest 2023 is scheduled for August 3 – 6, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry in Mars, Pennsylvania. We’ll be celebrating the centennials of Weird Tales, Sport Story Magazine, and Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., as well as the 90th anniversary of The Spider, Robert E. Howard’s Conan, and other great heroes. And don’t forget about the other terrific conventions that will be held in conjunction with next year’s PulpFest — ERBFest 2023 and FarmerCon XVIII. That’s three conventions for the price of one!
