On this day when we honor America’s workers, PulpFest is pleased to announce that we are now accepting advance registrations for our 2022 convention, August 4 – 7.
Register now and beat the rush. You’ll save money and get free early-bird shopping if you book a room at the convention’s host hotel. By staying at the DoubleTree, you help defray the convention’s expenses and show our hotel that PulpFest will help their bottom line.
There are plenty of rooms available at the beautiful DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry. You can book a room directly through the PulpFest website. At the top of our website, you’ll find a link that reads “Book a Room.” Click the link and you’ll be redirected to a secure site where you can make your room reservation.
You can also reserve a room by calling 800.222.8733 or 724.776.6900. To receive the special convention rate of $129 plus tax per night, you must mention PulpFest.
Included in your room rate are two complimentary hot breakfasts per room during your stay. Also included are free Wi-Fi and free parking.
You must book your room before 12 AM on Wednesday, July 13, in order to get the special convention deal. Any reservations made after the deadline will be accepted at the best available rate if rooms are available. We recommend that you book your room early.
Please note that a deposit equaling the first night’s room rate plus tax will be required at the time of reservation. You will have until June 29, 2022 — five weeks prior to the start of PulpFest 50 — to cancel your reservation and receive a refund of your deposit. Any cancellation made after June 29, 2022, will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.

For Dealers Only
All dealers and their helpers are required to purchase a membership to PulpFest 50. Additionally, our table rental fees are as follows:
Island-table rental fee — $90 per table
Wall-table rental fee — $100 per table
PulpFest 50 will have over 100 six-foot tables in its 10,880-square-foot dealers’ room. Wall tables and placement within the dealers’ room will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Over forty wall tables will be available in our dealers’ room.
There will be no height restrictions on any tables. Displays will be allowed on tables as long as they can safely stand. Please use common sense and courtesy to design your displays.
No banners or other signage may be attached to the hotel’s walls with tape, tacks, or any other material.
If you have a banner that you wish to display, you must provide your own banner stand. The convention is not responsible for providing you with a banner stand or easel to display your advertising.
All members registering as dealers are required to have material for sale at their tables. If you have any special needs — positioning within the room, unique display requirements, electrical needs, and so on — please let us know when you register.
Although the focus of PulpFest 50 will be pulp magazines and related materials, genre fiction, vintage paperbacks, digests, men’s adventure and true crime magazines, first edition hardcovers, series books, dime novels, original art, Big Little Books, B-movies, and serials and related collectibles, old-time-radio shows, and Golden and Silver Age comic books can also be sold. Please remember that PulpFest is not a comic book convention. Sexually explicit material, including PLAYBOY, PENTHOUSE, and OUI, will not be allowed.
Dealer set-up will take place on Thursday, August 4, from 11 AM – 5 PM. Selling to early-bird shoppers will begin at 12 PM and run until 5 PM on Thursday. The dealers’ room will also be open to dealers on Friday, August 5, beginning at 9 AM. It will be open to all PulpFest members beginning at 10 AM.

PulpFest is for All to Enjoy
Our attendees come to PulpFest to celebrate and learn about popular culture, socialize, and enjoy themselves. Therefore, all attendees of PulpFest are asked to keep opinions of a political, religious, or societal nature to themselves.
If any convention attendee seeks to importune any PulpFest member with his or her opinions, the offending member will be asked to leave PulpFest.
Although you have a right to your opinions, our members — including dealers — are not at the convention to be lectured about politics, religion, and so on.
To Learn More
We will be releasing a four-page newsletter with additional details about PulpFest 50 in early May 2022. Please write to Jack Cullers for a copy of our 2022 newsletter. A downloadable PDF of our 2022 newsletter will also be available in early May 2022.
