PulpFest

Advance Registrations Are Ending

PulpFest 2018 will stop accepting advance registrations tonight at 10 PM eastern time. We will shut down our Paypal Order page at that time. A full-weekend advance membership to PulpFest will cost you $35 — if staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry — and $40 if staying elsewhere. If you’d like to take part in our early-bird shopping in the dealers’ room from 5:30 to 8:30 PM on Thursday, July 26, it’s free if you’re staying at our host hotel. That’s how we thank loyal attendees who help to defray the convention’s costs by staying at our host hotel. For those staying elsewhere, there’s an added cost of $30 to be an early-bird.

Early registration for our members will begin at 4 PM on Thursday, July 26, at the entrance to our dealers’ room at the DoubleTree. All members, dealers included, can pick up their registration packets at this time. To help things move smoothly, please bring along a completed registration form. You can download a copy by clicking hereMembers will also be able to register for the convention on Friday morning — beginning at 9 PM — and at any time during regular dealers’ room hours.

For those of you who prefer not to register in advance for PulpFest, you will be able to do so on Thursday evening. Our full weekend memberships will be available at the door, with early-bird shopping costing an additional $30 for those members not staying at the DoubleTree. Single day memberships — costing $20 for Friday or Saturday — will also be available. A Sunday single day membership will cost $10, the price of THE PULPSTERPlease click one of the Register buttons on our home page for further details.

If you’re a member of Confluence — Pittsburgh’s long-running science fiction, fantasy and horror conference — and you’d like to attend PulpFest, just show your Confluence badge at our registration desk and you’ll get $10 off the price of our daily admission. PulpFest members who visit Confluence will receive the same discount. The two conventions are taking place over the same weekend!

Your PulpFest membership allows entry to all convention activities, including our evening programming and our auctions. PulpFest badges are required to attend all activities. Children, accompanied by a parent, who are fifteen and younger will be admitted free of charge. So bring your family! The general public is very much welcome to attend.

(Designed by PulpFest’s advertising director, William Lampkin, our PulpFest 2018 post card features the work of freelance artist Mel Hunter. His painting was originally used as the cover to the May 1960 number of THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION. Philip José Farmer’s “Open to Me, My Sister” was featured on the issue’s cover. We’ll be celebrating the centennial of Farmer’s birth at this year’s PulpFest.

Please remember that if you’re not from the Pittsburgh area, don’t forget to book a room at the DoubleTree. Call 1-800-222-8733 and be sure to mention PulpFest in order to receive any convention special deals that may still be available.)
